Sandwich Express is a small business based in Talgarth near Brecon, and has recently won a contract with Caerphilly County Borough Council to supply daily fresh pre-packed sandwiches to all offices within the Council, and to the Gwent Police Force.
Claire Logan started the business in 2002 by selling fresh sandwiches to local businesses, and by today is the main supplier of sandwiches to local garages in Talgarth, and across the Herefordshire border.
The business has seen steady growth over recent years, with the opening of a shop, as well as regular work delivering sandwiches to local outlets. Claire Logan said " The help and assistance received by Guto Carrod via the Local Supplier Development Project in winning this contract, has given the business confidence to explore further tendering opportunities within public and private sector orgnisations in the area".
Securing this contract will allow the business to further develop and move to its new accommodation on the Talgarth Business Park. Caerphilliy Council are committed to develop a long term relationship with Sandwich Express, and hope to expand the contract to supplying local schools in Caerphilly.
Guto Carrod, Supplier Champion said "Sandwich Express is a small business with ambition to develop and grow, and I am keen to keep working with this business to assist in identifying further tendering opportunities and new markets for the business".
